Dance à la carte explores the relationship of Dance & Music. It’s a fun NewGrounds component that allows viewing participants to choose a short dance excerpt from the concert, modify the speed, and match it with a music choice, to create their own dance list.

Playground  is a landscape of moving pieces that you can transform. Have fun! Play with the laws of motion. Toss the geometric shapes, shift and flip the twirling dancers, watch while they tumble across the page. Playground is an amusing exercise in the laws of physics. Kid friendly and free.

December 18 – 19 2020 & January 23 -24 2021, Moving Current Dance Collective will present NewGrounds: a collection of dance films. Applicants are juried by a panel of dance and film professionals. Selected films will be presented in an online screening, and Moving Current Dance Collective’s interactive website, Dance à la carte, a fun NewGrounds component that explores the relationship of dance and music. Participants choose a short dance excerpt from December’s Film Collection, modify the speed, and match it with a music choice to create their own dance list.
