SHOW + TELL
Join us for Show + Tell, an opportunity for artists to share their dance works with the community. The choreographers are invited to participate in a quick open response directly following the performance of their work with our guest artist leading the audience in discussion. You dance, we watch. We dance, you watch, and we’ll all talk about what we experienced together!
Show + Tell will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 4 pm in USF Theater 2.
eligibility
All artists are invited to apply for NewGrounds Show + Tell. Finished and in-progress pieces are welcomed and slots will be filled on a first come basis.
application process + guidelines
Interested artists must submit their application to newgrounds@movingcurrent.com, Subject Line: Show + Tell. You can find the application below. There is no application fee.
+ Slots will be awarded on a first come basis. Please arrive no later than 3:30 pm at Theater 2 USF, Tampa Campus in order to hold your place for the showing. Choreographers that are no in the theater by 3:30 pm may lose their place to those present and on the waiting list.
+ Moving Current will provide a neutral wash of lights on stage. Due to the nature of the event, no special lighting cues will be possible. Lights up… lights out.
+ Costuming is optional. Rehearsal clothes are totally acceptable!
+ Music must be provided on CD. If you wish to incorporate live musicians, they will not be able to use the theater’s technical equipment, but we can provide you with electricity!
