concert + festival
Moving Current will celebrate Florida’s contemporary dance artists with another sensational NewGrounds Concert and Festival!
Since 2000, NewGrounds has showcased and supported emerging professional artists with a Concert series featuring their work. During the week of the NewGrounds Festival, a guest artist teaches a series of Master Classes and develops a Community Project, which culminates in a Show + Tell, where participants can share their works with the community and then engage in a discussion about the works lead by our featured guest artist. We dance, you watch, and we’ll all talk about what we experienced together!
NewGrounds Concert showcases the work of exceptional emerging artists. Selected choreographers are provided with a stipend, professional production and marketing team, professional theater and production crew, and will perform 2-3 performances over 2 days.
